Our New Website

To all the folowers of this blog. This will be then end of this blog. We started this blog to show everyone our progress as we built up our CrossFit facility. Due to legal reasons we couldn't use the CrossFit name or have our own website until the whole affiliation process was over which is why I created this blog to keep everyone updated.

But now the time has come and we have our very own website www.crossfitcentermass.com. We are linked to the main page under Massachusetts on the affiliate blog page. We hope you check us out and let me know what you think about the new site.

We have started enrolling members so if you are interested in joining please check out our schedule and rates on our site then E-mail me to schedule your first fundamentals course. I look forward to finally meeting all of you and working out together.

Thanks again for your support.

The Equipment Arrives

The equipment is here and finally set up.

Here is my little guy. He can't wait to get his hands on those medicine balls.

Here are two of our trainers breaking in the new rowers.

We want to say thanks to Jon Gilson over at Again Faster for getting us these great rowers and all our other equipment.

This week we will finish the bathrooms and some more painting. I hope by this weekend all the little things will be finished and we can start getting some people in the door to do a workout.

In Comes The Floor

The flooring arrived this week and we spent a couple days laying it out. I know paople said it was the worst part of putting the gym together and they were not kidding. Moving them wasn't too bad but cutting them to fit was the worst part. All in all it looks pretty good now that the floor is down. The equipment just arrived late Friday night so we are in the process of putting everything together this weekend. I will hopefully have some more photos of our equipment all set up.

Plaster Complete

The plasterer finished this weekend. Here are some pictures of his work. Now the painter will come in today and start painting. He should be done by Tuesday.

If your wondering why there is a large section of wall without drywall, it is because we are putting plywood on this section. This is where we will do wall ball and handstand pushups. We wanted to make it really strong.

The Dry Wall Goes Up!

The week started off very busy. Monday the sheet rock was delivered and we spent the next three days putting the walls up. Here are some pictures of how it went.

Below is a picture of our bathrooms getting the walls put on.

One wall finished! Only three more to go....

It was aparently father & son day at the gym. Here is a picture of Mike Spalatro and his dad working inside the bathrooms.

And here is a picture of Nate Reando and his Dad. It's amazing the amount of work you can get done when you get some firefighters and some cops together.

Finally we were on the final wall and it actually started to look like a gym.

Here's Nate screwing in the last board.
Finally we were all done.
Now the plasterer will come in on Friday and Saturday and plaster everything. Then Monday and Tuesday the painter will paint the whole place. On Thursday our horse stall mats arrive and then Friday we get our equipment delivered. I should have some more photos of each of these steps as they are finished. Maybe even a movie of us lugging in those horse stall mats. 100lb a piece! Can't wait!
